Too many Belizean artist want to be artist but they are not willing to work for it. they seem to think that the music will sell itself. far too often, they record an album then once completed, the work stops. there is no promotions, nothing. if it wasn't for Belizeanartist.com, most of these artist wouldn't be known outside their local area. i'd like to think that i'm very aware of the Belizean music scene as well as others. the artist in our community get too comfortable too quickly. they think after singing one song that they are the masters of it all. seeing another artist doing relatively well just stirs up jealousy inside them. they can't even bring themselves to tell another fellow artist he/she is doing good. i'm proud of what stamina and aziatic are doing, yet you find people who are trying to bring them down. karribius are doing well and people hate on them too. dance groups declaring themselves the best but can't give the criteria as to what the claim is based on. the amount of hate that is going on is crazy. who do you see promoting the music and the culture? who is giving their time to help other Belizeanartist? it is time to give support and recognize who is really trying to help advance the music. its time to recognize who really has the talent and is worthy of our support. we shouldn't allow those who are taking this as a game to just play with the music and the culture like that. there are many Fakes out there and they're not really true to the music. get out the game suckers.
