The mission of The Best Of The Best Puntarock Concert is to strengthen opportunities for cultural expressions, jobs and business relations that will generate the hope, courage, confidence and greatness for years to come.
The Goal of this Cultural Event is to Educate through entertainment, by sharing our music, language and culture with people from around the world and especially those from the Caribbean and Central American communities from (Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, St. Vincent, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Mexico). Punta Rock Music The world has come to know Punta Rock Music as a heritage of the Garifuna Culture, originating primarily in Belize.
The music, perhaps one of the strongest elements of the Garifuna Culture whereby the language and dance has been preserved by generation. While most Punta Rock songs are written in Garifuna some are written in the local language of the artist.
Garifuna is a unique language formed from the blending of Carib Indian and African languages, mixed with some French and Spanish.
Authentic Punta Rock music will also incorporate key instruments such as the Garifuna drums, turtle shells and the "shaka" (or rattle) mixed with the electric guitar and keyboards, creating an explosive and rocking rhythm irresistible to all who hear it. It is easy for one who has never heard such music to fall in love with it. This wave of cultural experience has been known to bring rejunvinate audiences all over the Caribbean, Central America and other parts of the world, serving as a link between the young and older generation.
Garifuna - In existence for only about five centuries, the Garifuna race is indigenous to the Caribbean and Central America. The people originated on the island of St. Vincent and were exiled from their homeland in 1797. They eventually found their way to parts of Central America like Honduras, Belize and Guatemala where the culture remains strong.

Meet Da Band
Rhodee, a native of Dangriga, now residing in the mid western United States Rhodee has been and still is an instrumental figure in the education and promotion of Garifuna history and culture. Direct from the pages of The Chicago Tribune, Rhodel "Rhodee" Castillo has influence and intrigued an audience as sophisticated as love. Through his music and divine soul, Rhodee delivers the messages of a lifetime. "In Exile" his first solo effort gained national acclaim for its production and lyrical content but nothing beats the man himself live on stage.
Wageah Kids

With most of there parents still performing today, The Kids have envision a career of their own. For years they have seen the lights far above Prince Hall Memorial Auditorium, for years they have known and witnessed the hype and now, sharing the stage with some of Punta Rock's elite is about to be a reality. Until Punta Rebels came along and then Griga Boys, no other young group has acquired the lime light at such an early age.
Aziatic "The meaning of Excitement" is the last man standing. Celebrating ten years in music with six solo albums and a life that has embraced some of the biggest names in Puntarock music. Aziatic has no doubted survive the test of our time. From the low blows to the rumors of war , the man in the mirror have instead reinvented the ethics of the game and created a venue for greatness to be recorded by employing what would be considered his biggest rivals. As producer and promoter of the Annual Best Of The Best
Puntarock Concert, Aziatic has delegated more of his duties to focus on a two-character performance (The Present and The Past). In the past, what has been done? What has been seen could as well be a thing of the past and Friday November 19th might as well be the thing of the future.

Junior Aranda
Da Bizniz Magazine and Prepaid Phone Card in association with Stamina & Aziatic proudly presents The Annual Best Of The Best Puntarock Concert in recognition and honor of the Legendary "Junior Aranda" who for generations have entertained Belizeans and toured the world with his guitar and a happy smile. His tunes recorded and non recorded has influenced many of today's Garifuna Artist, who in some way or the other, knowingly or unknowingly made it through the path set by our honoree.
Junior Aranda, one of the Greatest Pranda singers of Belize, is considered to be among the last of a dying breed. With a few Paranderos continuing the soulfulness of the Paranda Genre, Junior Aranda still has a lot to offer. At an age where most people have already retired, the joy that music brings, has kept this father, grandfather and great-grandfather in our lives at a time where it seems like only music can bring us together.
Paranda Music isTraditional Garifuna Music and throughout Belize, Honduras, and Guatemala, you can still hear the music, called Paranda.
Paranda: "Africa in Central America" is an authentic recording of this most rare and intriguing music. Paranda is both a Garifuna rhythm and a genre of music. This spirited music is completely acoustic, with guitar, wooden Garifuna drums known as Primero, segunda, shakers, scrapers, and turtle shell instruments. The songs are often call-and-response in African tradition, but there is also the Latin and Spanish influence demonstrated in rhythm and guitar styling. The artists, known as Paranderos, are few and far between - with only one or two living in each village.
